Jaidenblake Gaston had an impressive basketball career, playing AAU with the Riverside Hawks (NY) from 3rd through 8th grade, and the Aim High Eagles from 9th through 11th grade (NY). Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic forced him to miss his freshman year of high school basketball. However, he went on to play varsity for three years at Msgr. McClancy High School, where he scored over 1,000 points. Gaston's standout performance earned him selection to the New York State Sports Writers Association Class 'AA' All-State 2nd team in 2024, after being named to the Catholic High School Athletic Association 'A' All-League team for three consecutive years from 2021-2024. Averaging an outstanding 20.5 points and 5 assists per game, he was the top scorer in the CHSAA 'A' Division. Gaston's hard work culminated in him being named champion after winning the CHSAA 'A' Intersectional City Championship with McClancy HS at Fordham University on March 1, 2024. Looking ahead, his goal is to play college basketball while pursuing a Master's Degree in Criminal Justice.
